We analyze public creator videos where foundation shades are explicitly mentioned. Our system extracts these shade references, cross-references them across creators, and builds a database of verified shade matches with confidence ratings based on frequency and consistency.
All data is sourced from publicly available creator videos on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. We analyze videos where creators explicitly mention wearing multiple foundation shades, allowing us to identify equivalent matches based on real usage.
High confidence: 6+ creators, 15+ mentions, strong consistency
Medium confidence: 3–5 creators, 8–14 mentions, moderate consistency
Low confidence: 1–2 creators, 3–7 mentions, limited data
These ratings help you understand how reliable each match is based on the volume and quality of evidence in our database.
Our system tracks all shades a creator mentions wearing, not just those that match their skin tone. Creators often test and review multiple shades, including those for friends, family, or clients. We focus on which shades are mentioned together, regardless of undertone or depth.

We continuously analyze new creator content and update our database regularly. New shade matches are added as we process more videos, and confidence ratings are adjusted based on emerging patterns and additional data.
Some shades may not yet be represented in our database if they haven't been explicitly mentioned in the creator videos we've analyzed. As we expand our data sources and process more content, coverage will improve. You can also try searching by brand name only to see all available matches.
